The Research Of China’s City Migrant Workers’ Ideological And Political Education Problem

As China’s economic development and the deepening of reform and opening up, moreand more rural surplus labor forces are being out from the shackles of the land, and flock tothe cities to seek broader employment opportunities forming a special group in the city-migrant workers. Migrant workers are the product of China with the level of its socialproductive forces developed to a certain extent. China now has236million migrant workersworking in the city. It is expected that in the next period of time, the number of migrantworkers will be in growth also. Migrant workers has made great contributions to China’surban construction and development, so that they are indispensable power in China’smodernization. However, due to historical reasons, under the urban-rural dual systemstructure, the gap between urban and rural areas can not disappear in a short time; this specialgroup of migrant workers in China’s cities will exist for a long time. Some of systems andpolicies in city life have yet to be improved, and social injustice phenomena occur from time.They are excluded by the city, so that the most of the urban migrant workers are not entitled tobenefits and protection, because of their own deficiencies, it is inevitable that they becomevulnerable groups in society, leading to their state of mind is very complex. National andsocial have done a lot of work for the management of migrant workers. Intending to continueto improve this situation, Rural Migrant Workers’ ideological and political education is verynecessary, but also of great significance. Ideological and political education of migrantworkers in China is still very weak. Through survey analysis of migrant workers thought andlife, and learning from the views of some experts and scholars, this article is trying to putforward countermeasures improve the ideological and political education of migrant workers.This thesis is divided into four chapters: Chapter1, Introduction, brief description of thebackground and significance of the topics, summarized the status of the ideological andpolitical education for migrant workers studied by domestic and foreign scholars, defining therelevant concepts; Chapter II, based on survey a large number of instances, analyzes anddepicts the idea of the status of urban migrant workers in detail; Chapter III, the urban migrant workers ideological and political education, analyzes the factors result in the problems aboutthe ideological and political education of this group; Chapter4, according to China’s nationalconditions, makes a few measures and recommendations about the Rural Migrant Workers’ideological and political education work.
