After the economic reforms in the early1990s, India’s economy hasentered the stage of rapid growth. In the first decade of the21st, India’seconomy keeps a rapid growth. India’s comprehensive strength has beenenhanced greatly after twenty years development, just like Obama said inhis speech in Parliament during he visited India in2010:“In Asia andaround the world, India is not simply emerging, India has emerged.” Indiahas become an important force in regional and international affairs, andthe participation of India has become indispensable in dealing with globalissues,. Although India has not emerged as a world power, it’sindisputable that India is rising to be a global power.India’s great power strategy mainly includes strategic objectives and strategic means. At the beginning of the new century, India constantlypromotes the implementation of great power strategy according to thestrategic objectives. The early21st century is considered to be a criticalperiod for India’s great power strategy, and therefore some India’sofficials and analysts believe that the21st century will be the “Indiancentury“if the India’s economy maintains a rapid growth. In the era ofglobalization, with the deepening of interdependence among nations,India’s rise is bound to have a significant impact on the regionallandscape and even the world pattern. The rise of India has not onlypromoted the diversity of power in the Asia-Pacific region, but alsocontributed to the trend of world multi-polarization.At the beginning of21st century, there are a lot of favorable factorsfor the implementation of the strategy of India power, but the domesticissues will be the key factor that determines whether India will risesmoothly. Under the impact of these unfavorable factors, theimplementation of India’s power strategy will not be smooth.In the future, In the future, India needs to actively make use of favorable factors,and at the same time, get rid of the unfavorable factors, so that itcan make it’s dream of "great power " come true.
