Studies Of The Factors Of Public Sense Of Social Safety

Public sense of social safety is the whole relection of people’s subjective feelings of the current social safety situation.It’s an important indicator to evaluate the social order.Since the80s of the20th century, it has gradually accepted and adopted in China.Thera are already some related studies until now.However,the current studies are still at the exploratory stage. And empirical research is still relatively scarce.At the same time, some studies of public sense of social safety have different purpose and understanding of the definitions of the factors and their relationship,so opinions are widely divided,and the conclusions are also quite different.Therefore, clarifying the concept of the factors of public sense of social safety and their relationship has important theoretical value.And through empirical studies to measure public sense of social safety of residents in the five districts of Shenyang so as to give some advice to improve the level of public sense of social safety has also practical significance.In this study, the empirical analysis is used by the methods of questionnaire surveys and literature review.SPSS is also used to analyze the survey results,so as to clearly.define the current situation of public sense of social safety of residents in the five districts of Shenyang. We can also analyze the relationship between the public sense of social safety and its factors,the behavior which can reflect it and subjective well-being.At last,some advice are given to the government and the police.The article is mainly divided into three parts:The first part is related theory, including the background, the purpose and status of the research; The second part is about the empirical part.It elaborated the research model, research assumptions, questionnaire design, data analysis methods,implementation process,and detailed statistical analysis of data. The third section is to the application part.There are some suggestions to enhance the public sense of social safety for the govement and the police.Research shows that demographic characteristics, crime information sources, the reaction of unlawful infringement, police evaluation hava important influence on the public sense of social safety. In the social safety evaluation, the evaluation of public places social safety affects the public sense of social safety most.And in residential evaluation, residential precautions show the greatest influence.Therefore, we should take corresponding measures to help key population,regulate the role of media, strengthen management in public places and residential areas,enhance popularization legal education and prevention knowledge and strengthen the police work, in order to enhance the public sense of social safety.
