Studies Of The Factors Of Public Sense Of Social Safety

Public sense of social safety mainly refers to the recognition and experience of the general public for safety of current social environment. Individuals use it to estimate the safety of social environment. At the same time it is the measure to evaluate the overall situation of public security. After the reform and opening up, China began to adopt relevant indicators to carry out the investigation and study about the current situation of public sense of social safety. But mainly the research was dominated by the government. Because of the limitations of the understanding for the concept and the influencing factors of public sense of social safety as well as the different research purposes. With preconceived ideas, the measurement and evaluation indicators were created in a variety of deviation. And research conclusions of relevant scholars were also quite different. Therefore, this article systematically combs the research of public sense of social safety. After that it analyzes the potential influencing factors of public sense of social safety and put forward the corresponding assumptions in order to understand the situation of public sense of social safety for residents of six districts of Suzhou through empirical research. And then to take corresponding optimization measures to promote the safety of the public perception of Suzhou residents.Mainly, we got the conclusion in four aspects as follows:(1) Residence order and public security situation has a significant positive influence on the sense of public security.(2) Public order and public security situation has a significant positive influence on the sense of public security.(3) Residents’ safety awareness has a significant positive influence on the public security.(4)The quality of police work has a significant positive influence on the sense of public security.Finally, put forward the optimum path of the sense of public security of Suzhou from four aspects based on the five research conclusions as the breakthrough point mainly include:(1)Strengthen management of residential environment and improve residents’ living conditions;(2) Increase the security guard and improve the ability of handling cases;(3) Focus on publicity and education in order to improve residents’ safety awareness;(4) Increase the intensity of police in public to make the relationship between the police and the residents close. At the same time, a comprehensive analysis has been made on the short of research of this article. At last put forward the prospect on future research directions.
