Reproduction, a behavior along with human’s existence, was originally considered as a kind of obligations, especially the female’s. Reproductive rights derived from two forces, the feminist movement and the government’s population control. This article states the realization obstacles and the protection scope of female’s reproductive rights mainly from the human rights perspective, along the line of reproductive rights’ development, from reproductive rights to female’s reproductive rights and then to single women’s and professional women’s reproductive rights. Thereby the necessity of protecting female’s reproductive rights from this perspective is put forward since it is the inevitable trend and there are shortages in the existing system. Besides the different protection approaches are proposed:political protection, legal protection, judicial protection and administrative protection. On the basis of the knowledge of law, ethics and sociology and the actual cases, the author presents her own opinions from the human rights perspective. This study indicates that we are exploring the way of protecting the female’s reproductive rights, in hope of attracting the attention of the whole society and then giving more approvals to female’s reproductive rights legislatively, so that more scholars are concerned about reproductive rights of women. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper is divided into four parts. The first part is about the conceptions of reproductive rights and its history:natural growth stage, obligations stage, rights stage, and freedom stages and then with the definitions from international community and our law on reproductive rights, the author makes her own idea clear:reproductive rights is a basic human rights. The second part discusses the protection of female’s reproductive rights. It contains the nature of the female’s reproductive rights given by international community, the inadequacy of reproductinve rights protection in our law and the necessity of introducing the different protection approaches of human rights. At last the protection approaches of the female’s reproductive rights are presented. The third part is about the singe women, their status, the obstacles and the possible ways of their reproductive rights realization. The author clears those obstacles away with ethics, which strengthens the persuasiveness of the paper:reproductive rights is a basic human rights, rather than a rights to identity. The fourth part analyzes another representative group, professional women, the different types of professional women and the realization obstacles of their reproductive rights. Insufficient understanding of the value of professional women’s reproductive behavior contributes to their various recessive discriminations in schooling and seeking employment. The author analyzes some reasons and also attempts to propose the solutions.
