Hangzhou New Generation Of Migrant Workers Into Urban Path Research

Hangzhou, as the provincial capital of Zhejiang province, is an important city of Yangtze River delta. There is a great number of the new generation of migrant workers living here. They all want to be a part of the city because of their needs of work, the education of their children or other reasons such as the desire for city life.The article is based on the current situation of the survival and development of the new generation of migrant workers, focusing on the way on how to get into the city. At last, the article proposes some rationalization proposal both to the government and the migrant workers.Firsr, the census register is handicap of getting into the city. Today, the most difficult problem about the census register of the new generation of migrant workers is showed at Household Registration, Talent identification, Unfair Competition, etc. The main way to get into the city includes couples dependence, talent introduction, home buying and special introduction.Second, getting into the city is not only based on the census register but also on the other social lives. The article mainly focus on six opinions:sense, housing, employment, guarantee, education and cultureThird, there are two difficulties of the sense:the local residents’prejudice and discrimination; the migrant workers’self-reclusive. The article advises both the city and the local residents to be comprehensive, at the same time, advises the migrant workers to open their mind, to admit the city life and to learn the skills of communication/Forth, the high price, high rent and the limit of purchase are the three hardest restraints of housing. The article advises that the migrant workers can choose the dormitory, house rent, commodity house or lowincome housing.Fifth, there are many difficulties about obtain employment such as field limiting, discrimination, untrained works, etc. The article tells us five channels, including friends’ introduction, labor market, job interviews, local invite applications and internet recruitment.Sixth, there are two outstanding problems in the current society. One is the low social insurance coverage of the migrant workers, and the other is the difficulty of social insurance transfering. The article advises to improve the social security system, make the same treatment become reality, establish a new rescue system and carry out the donation warmth activities.Seventh, there are two problems about education, the self-improvement of the migrant workers and the education of their children. To solve these problems, the government of Hangzhou provide Dual-card system of education and Corporate staff training for the migrant workers, as well as the mogrant schools and the public schools for their children.Eighth, there is a great gap bethwenn the city culture and the migrant culture. So the migrant workers can get into the city culture by self-study, corporate training and the piblicity of the givernment.Based on the analysis we draw the conclusions:1) the linit of the census register in Hangzhou is strict;2) the city life is tempting to the new generation of migrant workers;3) getting into the city is imperative;4) the migrant workers should change themselves while the surroundings is changed. The article also give some advise to the government and the migrant workers.To the migrant workers:they should establish a sense of ownership, increase self-investment to improve the human capital, and improve their own ideological quality so that they can get into the city and the culture.To the government:Accelerate the reform of household registration system. Reform the social security system. Construct a unified job market. Strengthen migrant vocational skills training. Promote fair education of children of migrant workers. Improve migrant housing security system. Optimize the social environment. Establish migrant workers’rights protection mechanisms.The analysis and research on the way of getting into the city smoothly of the migrant workers is of great referential meaning to Zhejiang province, Yangtze River delta, even China.
