Investigation And Research On The Problems Of Migrant Workers In The City Of Hangzhou Economic And Technological Development Area

With the rapid development of economy and society, the urbanization process has been accelerated, migrant workers poured into the city and has become an important force in the development of city construction and economy in china. But they have not yet been rewarded equally, but also become the city’s "marginal man", and turn into a vulnerable groups of social exclusion. Therefore, how to make migrant workers leave the countryside, take root in the city, and integrate into the city better, has become an important issue affecting the economic and social development and urbanization of the city.As the only national level Development Area which consists of Industrial Park, Higher Education Zone, Export Processing Zone, Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area has attracted a large number of migrant workers, and their problem of integration into the city has been particularly prominent. According to this, this paper carries out the empirical research with 406 migrant workers through combing the literatures. The statistics and analysis of data discovers that the integration degree of the migrant workers in Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area is not high from economic integration, social integration, system integration, culture and psychological integration four dimensions. There exists some problems, such as the wide gap in income, the narrow of communication range, the incomplete in household registration system, and the large psychological gap. In this regard, this paper carries out analysis of the causes deeply, and finds that can be come down to the four levels of migrant workers, enterprises, government, and labor agencies. Therefore, this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from these levels. Through these series of initiatives, we hope to improve the dilemmas of the migrant workers city integration problem in Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area with a certain extent, and then provide reference for the orderly implementation of our migrant workers city integration work.
