The Analysis Of Image Of The Migrant Workers In Worker’s Daily

In recent years, issues on migrant farmer labors have become more and more important in media agenda. This paper studies on the images of migrant farmer labors on Workers’Daily, ascends their origin, combining with the policies change since reform and opening, focuses on their existence state under the dominant view of politics.This paper researches the news reports about migrant farmer labors on Workers’Daily since2000, analyzing what the representation images of them and how they conflict and vary in media last10years. This paper includes five parts. The exordium gives the definitions of related concepts and a summary of media images of migrant farmer labors, and then poses research’s problems and methods. The2nd part is content analysis, focuses on providing a detailed explanation of those selected data from Workers’Daily and confirms their category and guideline. The3rd part is image analysis of the migrant farmer labors, based on the contents to alalyze the results and found that Workers’Daily has represented migrant farmer labors on three levels,"vulnerable groups","aphasic people" and "new migrant farmer labors", It detailedly analyzes and interprets the images of migrant fanner labors and their media reappearance from three aspects, political, economical and cultural degree, so as to explore the deeper motivation behind the news reports. The4th part summarizes and concludes the gains and losses during the reappearance process of migrant farmer labors’image according to Worker’s Daily reports, finds out its origin with times characteristics and political ecology, further confirms and investigates through proper case analysis. The conclusion puts forward personal advice, hoping which can provide reference for later media construction of migrant farmer labors’image.
