Taiwan is a part of China’s sacred territory Since the ancienttimes.Because of China’s weak power in Qing dynasty,Taiwan was split outby colonists from the mainland several times, Taiwan compatriots sufferedfrom bullying miserable. Although after the victory in the Anti-JapaneseWar, Taiwan returned briefly, but due to the subsequent Chinese CivilWar,the Cross-straits was forced to separation again, caused the Chinesenational martyr,lasted nearly one hundred years. The Taiwan issue is thecore of China’s reunification.“Peaceful reunification and One country,two systems” is the the scientific conception formulated by the CPC andstate for the reunification of motherland since the Third Plenary Sessionof the11th Central Committee of CPC.And this scientific conception havealready obtained a good demonstration effect in Hong Kong and Macao. WithChina’s national strength enhancement, how to achieve national finalunification in the Chinese national revival process, is a great historicaltask in the front of both sides leaders,also is the wishes of all Chinesepeople across the Taiwan straits.How to conveniently promote cross-strait political dialogues,tospeed up the peaceful development of cross-strait,and finally to achievenational unity under the current favorable situation of the cross-straiteconomic integration development accelerated,is the common challengesfacing both sides of the Taiwan straits.Except the introduction andconcluding remarks, the structure of this thesis is divided into threeparts: the first part,“one country, two systems”theory framework andits practice retrospect, mainly review the birth process, development and its profound connotation of “one country, two systems” scientificConception, and its practical experience in Hong Kong and Macao; Thesecond part, mainly analyzes the current situation about Cross-straitsrelations, namely, the the structural problems during the porcess ofpolitical dialogues between the mainland and Taiwan, including theunderstanding divergence of "One China" connotation, Taiwan’s politicalorientation, Taiwanese attitude towards “one country, two systems”,etc; The third part, mainly aim at the structural contradictions incross-strait political dialogues, and puts forward some suggestions andcountermeasures, namely, based on consolidating the existingachievements, through the establishment of political mutual trust, phasesestablish as the missions and pathes of the peaceful development of thecross-strait relations, and create a steady political atmosphere andpublic base for the ultimate unity.
