Research On The Policies Of Local Government To Promote Official Morality Construction

Now our country is in a sharp and profound social transformation period,economic form, political form and cultural form have taken place. People’s values andethics has a subtle and complex changes, especially traditional morality has been broken,and the new moral order has not yet formed, people’s morality appeared some confusionand anomie, and official morality anomie performance is particularly prominent.Official misconduct behavior have occurred frequently, and it seriously affect theoverall image of the officials, and caused the trust crisis of social public to thegovernment, so the construction of official morality is imminent, and in this process, therole of local government is extremely important, it is the main force in official moralityconstruction. In this paper, it analyze the background for the construction of officialmorality, and expound the necessity and feasibility for local government to promote theconstruction of official morality, and then absorb experience from ancient and foreignconstruction of official morality. Next, this paper take Suzhou for example to findresults and problem in construction of official morality. Finally, the paper givesuggestions for local government to improve the effectiveness of construction of officialmorality.
