After the founding of new China, In addition to official diplomacy,Mao Zedongcommunicated with the third world countries including Asia, Africa and Latin America andthe developed capitalist countries including western Europe,the United States and Japanactively in the form of non-governmental diplomacy as a result of the change ofinternational situation and the inheritance of successful experience aboutnon-governmental diplomacy in the period of democratic revolution. at the same time, thatis supported by interrelated theories.Because of the change of international situation andthe actual situation in different countries, different regions, Mao Zedong had to have adifferent approach to carry out non-governmental diplomacy.Through this way MaoZedong broke out the diplomatic blockades of the western capitalist countries and achievedthe normalization of relations with most countries in the world gradually.Non-governmental diplomacy of Mao Zedong makes an original contribution to thedevelopment and improvement of the theories of diplomacy and theories of internationalrelations and also has a positive impact on thoughts and practice of non-governmentaldiplomacy of China’s leaders after Mao Zedong.
