| Basing on the introduction of theorists and schools of risk society, this paper focuses on study of the concept of risk society, source, characteristics and transcending of risk society, which are the main content of the Western theory of risk society. On this basis, we compare the theory of Marxism and the theory of risk society, point out that there are both inherited and conflict relations, and dialectically evaluate the progress and problems of the theory of risk society. Chinese risk society is different due to its unique political, economic and cultural background, as well as the modernization stage, leading to the differences with western risk society in both nature and appearances. Among these are capitalist globalization and international risk allocation problem from the external environment, there are also three major motivation stems from internal, including the multi-source social risks due to development logic, the risk information spread of medias in double identity of social justice and consumer media, as well as the mass psychology in social anomie. This paper presents three types of bodies including the government, the media and the community to build risk management structure, and illustrates the responsibilities and obligations of each in order to response to risk society. |
