With the rapid development of private economy, labor conflicts have been more and more prominent. As an important part of the socio-economic structure changes, labor relations increasingly become a hot research topic in academics, politicians and the legal profession. In fact, to compare with the socialist transitional period, the performance of the labor conflicts in the primary stage of socialism has both historical inheritances but also many similarities in many ways. Therefore, it undoubtedly plays a strong role in guiding and practical significance to re-study the labor relations in the socialist transitional period and to comb its historical track. On the base of the Marxist theory on labor relations, this thesis does a detailed examination of the development of labor relations in the socialist transitional period in Chengdu, according to a large number of original archives and parties memories with gathering together closely around the background of the political and economic changes in Chinese society. The text is mainly composed by three parts of the introduction, body and conclusion. In accordance with the history, the body is divided into three stages, and then discusses CCP’s preliminary integration of labor relations, the huge turning in labor relations in the intense wave of the movements against the "three evils"and "five evils" combining with specific examples, and the end of the labor relations in Chengdu step by step. This thesis tries to answer the following questions:How did CCP and the People’s Government deal with labor relations issues that time? What labor policies did they take and how did this policies change the labor relations? What mistakes did they make and how to correct it? Etc. On the basis of the above discussion, the paper tries to sum up the experience and lessons learned and to summarize the regular conclusions, in order to provide a historical reference for dealing with sharp labor conflicts and building new socialist labor relations nowadays.
