The Relationship Of Power Discipline And The Influence On The Identity Of Social Workers

The government promotes the transformation of social governance and social functions by purchasing social public services.As the coordinator and owner of resources,the government will allocate resources and power to agencies in the process of purchasing social public services from social work agencies,and entrust agencies to manage and supervise social work agencies and social workers.However,because most of the current operation of social work institutions comes from the government's resource supply,the social work institutions can only impose administrative tasks on social workers downward due to the constant pressure and infiltration of the “regulation and training” of the authority of institutions and units,which leads to the weakening of social workers' self-recognition and even the resignation period.From Michel Foucault's thoughts on power and discipline,this paper on the idea of the power “discipline”of organs and units over social workers,which leads to the administrative and hierarchical management of social worker organizations,and the negative and marginalization of social workers themselves.This paper discusses the ways of building a true "moderate partnership","empowerment" for social workers and social workers,and social workers' self-regulation,so as to improve social workers' self-identity,stabilize the social workers' team,and gradually build a healthy social work service system.
