The Researach Of Civic Awareness Education Of College Students

The civic awareness education of college students is a basic project of our citizen’s moral building and a serious content of ideological and political education in contemporary Chinese colleges. The scientific citizen education for college students, who are going to enter the society, to promote their civic awareness and perform good civic behaviors is necessary for the construction of the Chinese Socialist Modernization. And students have been the main educational object in the hundreds years’history of the Chinese citizen education, which has been always closely related to develop-characteristics of the age and environmental changes of the society. In addition, the civic awareness education should meet the requirement of the development of age and base on the national condition. Through questionnaires, reflecting the basic situation of the Chinese college students‘citizen education in“civic political common sense”,“compliance with social order and morality”,“relationship between individual rights and obligation”, and“subjective consciousness and sense of participation”, We find out some existing problems in the process of implementing the civic awareness education in colleges at the present stage.In view of the present situation and the existing problems, this paper explains to enhance the necessity and importance of students’ citizen consciousness education. Under the formulation of goal on college citizens’education, we should take the Marxist theory of the comprehensive development of man as a fundamental, combine the guiding principle of the current characteristics of the age and contemporary university students’ ideological characteristics. On the contents of college civic consciousness education ,we focus on developing "national ideas and national consciousness education",“political and legal knowledge education", "citizens’ rights and compulsory education", "social morality and behavior criterion education". In specific education process to deal with "citizen education and ideological and political education", "consciousness of right and duty consciousness", "respect individual freedom and promote collectivism", "modern citizen education and traditional moral education" and other several pairs of important relationships. On the ways and methods of college students’ citizen consciousness education, we should pay more attention to play a role of main channel of college ideological and political education courses, perfect the citizen consciousness education courses. Will citizen consciousness education lies in the campus culture and social practice activities, Use of network resources to develop citizen consciousness education; Pay attention to referring foreign experience in citizen consciousness education.
