Social educational function of the rural schools, refers in the rural schools being combinedwith the school situation and the rural cultural background, where the villages and villagersliving in the village all conducive to people’s physical and mental development, and benefitsocial harmony, education and teaching activities. Since ancient times, the school can play itssocial educational function, so it is the rural school. In this article, a primary school is selected asan example to research since the reform and opening up the social educational function of thestatus quo, to understand the school social educational function into full play and their play ofsome of the problems that exist in the process, in order to make reasonable suggestions forrelated issues.The first part of the paper explains the reason of the question, a brief description of theresearch of rural schools and social educational status quo, and discusses significances and themain approach of the paper briefly.The second part of the paper explains the key concepts: the social edification and therelationship between the rural schools and social edification, further drawn to the rural schoolsplay in their social enlightenment efficacy should state reform are discussed below possibleproblems in the process of social enlightenment lay the foundation for opening up rural schoolsplay.The third part is the focus of the article. Describes the regional context of the rural schools,discussed the content that since the reform and opening up the rural schools, rural schools’students, and the school teachers have played an important role in the rural education, changedthe rural political life and the cultural life of rural.This part introduces the relationship between the rural schools and villagers: the rural schoolhave changed from completely open to closed-end management; rural schools provides leisureand entertainment place for the villagers, enrich the village customs and culture, and then due tothe impact of modern mass media and other external factors lost; In addition, rural schoolsteaching purposes, content changed. Since the rural schools, rural social indoctrination partdescribes: the reform and opening up, the school students regulate villagers’ behavior; schooleducation, social mobility and stratification function screening to become a village capable, eliteto participate in rural grass-roots work; subject to educate the local residents of rural democraticpolitical changes. For social educational part of the village, the village school teachers, discussesthe changes since the reform and opening up, the sources of change of rural school teachers andrural teachers in the status of the villagers’ lives. Rural schools play an important role in rural development and in the flood of changing times,the village may be small and weak, but the whole China can be seen in the prevalence of thevillage. The existing rural village school is educating people of one generation after generationof Chinese society in its weak force.
