Since the adoption of the reform and opening-up policy, and with the revival of the research on the social history of PRC, more and more scholars pay their attention to the research, they start to publish a large number of research works, issue a variety of research papers, and have achieved much majorly on:firstly, the further expansion of research ares, e.g, the uprise of research in illness and medical areas etc.; secondly, the continuours development and perfection of interdisciplinary research;thirdly, the shift of the research focus from politcal and economical aspects to the public, with many research achievement directly relating to the living of the public; fourth, conducting the research with a factual and realistic approach. Most scholars could point out many negative aspects about the contemporary society from a objective standpoint, rather than conducting the research upon the will of the leadership level. All these achievement result from:on one side, the impact of the revival of social history; on the other side, the vigorous support of the country, with the publishment fund from the government for many works, or with some works directly intiated by related government department. Meanwhile, the efforts made by some renouned scholars is one attribute. However, there is not yet one authorative social history of PRC, or one PRC general history, encompassing the social history of PR.This paper is intended to conduct an assorted analysis into the key reseach works on social history of PRC since the adoption of the reform and opening-up policy, meanwhile putting forward my own ideas on the reseach of social history of PRC based on this analysis.
