In recent years quality education has been promoted in the education field,especially insecondary education. Students should be the centre of the class. Therefore, our educationshould focus on improving their ability development. However, many schools didn’t returnthe real class to students due to the high pressure of entrance examination to college oruniversity. Students in Grade 3 of high school suffer a lot. They have little time to learn andthink by themselves. Our school , the Attached High School to Jining College, is anordinary high school. Students in our school are very poor in learning. Most of them do nothave good study habits. In order to help students form a good habit of reading and developtheir ability of self-study, all the English teachers in our school decide to explore a kind oflearning-plan guided revision pattern which is fit for our school.In this paper, I mainly adopt document analysis, questionnaire survey method,interview, observation, and score comparison. During the half–year research, differentrevision patterns are used in two classes. Class 2(experimental class ) uses learning-planguided revision pattern. Class 4(comparative class) still study with traditional methods.The research results show that learning-plan guided revision pattern is a scientificteaching method. It is feasible for total review of English in Grade 3.Innovations: We have designed learning plan for self-study as well as learning plan forexploration. They greatly enhance the practicability of learning-plan guided teachingpattern.
