Learning plan is just students’ learning program in contrast with teachers’teaching plan (Cui Jibo,1999). It is carefully designed by teachers accordingto the textbooks and levels of the students. And the pattern of learning-planteaching is that students first learn, teachers then teach and students areinvolved in inquiry and cooperation work to complete teaching tasks. Finally,there is a feedback and evaluation for the students and teachers to check.Therefore, in this thesis the author puts forward English learning-planteaching, and the author does lots of research in designing learning plan basedon Constructism Theory and the concept of the standard of “the new courses”.By practicing learning-plan teaching pattern, we hope to help students’ mentaland intellectual growth and their acquisition of English and develop students’cooperation and creation awareness and their ability to put what they havelearnt into practice. It attempts to change the students from passive ones intoactives and to improve the students’ learning scores as well as the teachers’professional skills.The object of this thesis is600students who are from10parallel classes of the seventh grade in No.26Junior High Middle School,Hohhot. Class1andClass2are as control classes, in which the conventional teaching is used. Andin the experiment classes from Class3to Class10, the teachers applylearning-plan teaching with the help of teaching plan. After nearly a year ofexperiment and research, and the results show that the new designed learningplans are useful for both teachers and students and the learning-plan teachingcan improve students’ learning scores.
