With the deepening reform of school physical education,in the“health first”guidingideology,to promote quality education,strengthen the sport.The new educationphilosophy and ideas of college sports and healrh courses,new requirements,theprocess of teaching the use of appropriate teaching methods to fully mobilize thestudents to participate in sports enthusiasm,initiative and cteativity,so that eachstudent will be able to participate in sports campaign to improve the quality ofteaching physical education,has attracted wide attention from scholars.Teaching Games for Understanding Approach to achieve reform of physicaleducation in the basic concept of the establishment:(1)Full play to the student bodyand the leading role of teachers.(2)Reflect all sports and individualized learning.(3)Train student’s cognitive ability and sense of unity and cooperation.(4)Focus onthe overall effect of physical education teaching methods.This article Teaching Games for Understanding Approach applied to college sportsand health courses in teaching girls volleyball experimental study,investigate thefeasibility and timeliness of the teaching which is used in college sports and healthcourses in teaching girls volleyball.Adopted optimized teaching methods for thecollege sports and health courses in teaching volleyball,improve the quality ofteaching college girls volleyball,which to provide theory and practice reference.The methodologies applied in this thesis are literature review, survey method,teaching experiment,symbolic statistic and logic analysis.The undergraduates of grade2010 from two girl volleyball classes as electives at Shandong Normal Universitywere selected as the subjects and the teaching experiment proceeded for a semester of36 periods.The following conclusions:(1) Teaching Games for Understanding Approach used in college sports and health courses in teaching girls volleyball, theteaching content in a planned,targeted into the teaching game,and can fully mobilizethe active participation of each student,more than traditional teaching methods helpenhance the physical college girl.(2)In mastering the technical of volleyball aspect,Teaching Games for Understanding Approach is more helpfull than traditionalteaching methods to improve the technological level of college girls volleyball.(3)Teaching Games for Understanding Approach is more conductive to stimulate thelearning motivation ,interest in volleyball and change the attitude of learningvolleyball. (4)Teaching Games for Understanding Approach is more conductive toimprove the cognitive abilities and lifelong awareness of college girls.(5) TeachingGames for Understanding Approach in the teaching process to full play the guidingrole of teaches and students in the main role,in the process of teaching the game tofocus on awareness-building cooperationg between the players,which is moreconductive to enhance the college girls’sense of cooperation.(6) Games forUnderstanding Approach is conductive to help teachers individualized,and tostimulate the college girls’learning initiative and creativity,through the teaching gameenhance the ability of choice and determine the spot.(7) Teaching Games forUnderstanding Approach used in college sports and health courses in teaching girlsvolleyball,which is more conductive to improve college girls to understand the theoryof volleyball skill and tactics,to improve the appreciation of volleyball.Come to the conclusions based on experimental studies,propse some suggestionsabout the promotion of the use of the Teaching Games for Understanding Approachused in college sports and health courses in teaching volleyball and other ball gamesteaching.However,the teaching of experimental results by the experimentaltime,conditions and other factors affecting the results of preliminary experiments,therelevant issues to be doing deeper research.
