Research On International Awareness Cultivation Of Nautical Students

With the development of the times and the strengthening of the trend of globalization, international awareness cultivation has become the common theme of education in the context of globalization. Besides, with the deepening of internationalization process and unprecedented development of the world shipping trade industry, the shipping industry calls for more internationalized shipping talents. Thus international awareness cultivation of nautical students has become a top priority of Chinese ideological and political education. However, in Chinese ideological and political education, international awareness cultivation is still in its infancy and exploration stage. Chinese ideological and political education staff should pay more attention to the cultivation of international awareness of nautical students.Based on previous research, cultivation of international awareness is combined with nautical students’characteristics and the particularity of shipping industry on this project. For the first time, the specific content of international awareness cultivation of nautical student is brought out, and then the problems are analyzed to propose valuable countermeasures. The basic purpose of this project is to draw domestic ideotogical and political education staffs attention as well as extensive research effort, so that shipping talents with wider international vision and stronger competitiveness can be trained through international awareness cultivation.Basically, this project is divided into four parts. The first chapter introduces the research background from the ideotogical and political education itself to the brought out international awareness; both current research situations at home and aboard are introduced; the research value is also summarized. In the second chapter, related concepts and theory of international awareness are being introduced to deepen the understanding. In chapter three, current situation and cultivation degree of nautical students’ international awareness are being obtained through the way of actual survey and daily study; then a comprehensive and scientific analysis of those problems is carried out. In chapter four, countermeasures for previously found problems and its causes are brought to improve the cultivation of international awareness of nautical students.Thorough horizontal comparison with foreign country and vertical comparison with historical performance of the international awareness cultivation achievement, this project finds room for further improvement in the aspect of understanding, implementation and effect also calls for more exploration and unremitting efforts by our ideological and political education staff.
