In the present world, the trend of globalization is strengthening. International communication and cooperation are more frequent. Countries and nationalities get rid of the state of isolated development one after another and constitute a related entity and gradually integrate the world development trend. A qualified citizen must have a vision of the world and international awareness and assesses the situation in the height of the era development, in order to better integrate into the world. And the history subject contains rich contents of international awareness cultivation. It decides to its in international awareness cultivation has other subjects incomparable superiority. Cultivating the students’ international awareness is the demand of the new course reform in our country and the requirement of developing all-round students.The paper is study for training international awareness in historical teaching of secondary school. The paper defines the relevant concepts and analysis the significance and content of training international awareness in historical teaching of secondary school. On the basis, the paper proposes the approach of training international awareness in historical teaching of secondary school and the issue should be noted.Besides the introduction and conclusion, the paper contains four parts:The first section pays attention to the significance of training international awareness in historical teaching of secondary school. Mainly includes: making for broadening students’ international vision;making for arousing students’ interest in learning; making for training students’ correct emotion, attitude and values; making for training students’ history thinking ability; making for transforming the mode of students’ learning.The second section concentrates the content of training international awareness in historical teaching of secondary school. Mainly includes: the consciousness of world unity; the consciousness of seeking common ground while reserving differences; the consciousness of opening to the outside world; the consciousness of win-win cooperation; the consciousness of international rules.The third section discusses the roads and methods of training international awareness in historical teaching of secondary school. Mainly includes: establishing the modern education concept; formulating the instructional objectives scientifically; widening the curriculum resources; adopting diversified teaching methods; carrying out multiple history extracurricular activities; consummating teaching evaluation methods.The fourth section tells the attention problems of training international awareness in historical teaching of secondary school. Mainly includes: understanding correctly the relationship between patriotism and international consciousness; promoting international consciousness in the way of multidisciplinary collaboration; paying attention to the quality of the history teacher.
