In most schools in Beijing today, they usually form the class in a large number of students. Teacher often use the same teaching-aims, the same teaching-methods, the same teaching-demands and forms, which make a great difference effect to students. It is easy to find that teachers ignore the differences among individual interests of study, the purpose to learning of students, the learning-habits of students, the intelligence of students and the ability to accept knowledge. If the pattern isn’t changed, it will be easy for students to produces two extremes. Besides, they bring a lot of difficulties for teaching. How to improve the level of students on English by helping the students increase confidence in English-studying and reducing the distance of ability to study English among students? As a junior high school teacher, it is one of the most important assignment for study.Foreword discusses the concept of differentiating instruction and the English teaching in Junior high school.clarifies the value of differentiating instruction and the idea of English teaching in Junior high school. Then analyzes the necessary of differentiating instruction from two aspects, which are the facts of differences among students and different teaching methods can make the students better. The analyzes are based on the interview with students,study the related document and self reflection.Chapter One analyzes and explain the differentiating instruction are based on the theories of multiple intelligence theory, targets classification, Constructivist learning theory, optimizing the teaching course.Chapter Two introduces that authors apply five strategies, which are measuring before classes, make the differentiating aims, use the varied teaching methods, design the different-level homework and multi-system of learning evaluation, promote and enhance the slow learners and to help fast learners.according to the connotation of differentiating instruction and the character of English-teaching in Junior high school,Chapter Three introduces the empirical analysis of differentiating instruction in English teaching in Junior high school, Test the effects by changes of students’interests、ways.stategies. and grades of learning English,Chapter Four is conclusion.
