The Problems Existing In Thinking And Political Education Of Junior College Students And The Study Of Its Solvement

The course of ideological and political theory in higher vocationaland specialized colleges is the main way for students’ ideological andpolitical education, through which their correct world outlook, as well astheir outlook on life and value is acquired. This article, taking theideological and political education in vocational and technical colleges asthe study object, discusses its existing problems, analyzes the underlyingcauses, and puts forward solutions.First, this article states the major problems in the ideological andpolitical education for vocational college students. These student issuesincludes confusion in value orientation, deficiency in personalitydevelopment, lack of sense of responsibility, crisis of belief, indifference,solitary, network addiction, inharmonic phenomena in moral practice, andvulgar tendency of life goal, etc.Second, it deeply analyzes both the objective and subjective factorsof the problems. For objective elements, ideological and politicaleducation is too out of date to sustain moral beliefs; campus culture tendsto be utilitarian and simplified; more priority is given to the teaching of knowledge or practical skills instead of ideological and political education;force-feeding is too frequently used as the teaching method; some teachersare not so qualified as to influence the ideological and political educationas a whole; and the unbeneficial social environment also exert an impacton it. For subjective ones, the students’ ideological concepts arebewildered and value ideas distorted; physiological or psychologicalfactors also play a part; and the relatively weakening mainstream ideologyleads to the weakening political thought of vocational college students.At last, it puts forward solutions to the ideological and politicaleducation for vocational college students. The article expounds that fullplay to the two courses teaching as the main channel should be given,Party’s political and organizational advantage fully taken to do a good jobin students’ ideological and political education, emotional educationactively advocated, school environment optimized, and teaching staffconstruction strengthened.
