Present Situation And The Development Strategy Of China’s Geography Disaster Education

Abstract:Natural disasters accompanied the development of human civilizat. It is also in constant struggle with natural disasters, and continue to overcome the natural disaster in the process, human beings created a splendid civilization. In the new century, especially in recent years, large-scale natural disasters occur frequently in domestic and foreign. For example, frozen disaster in southern China region in early2008、Sichuan Wenchuan earthquake in2008、Mega tsunami in India Ocean in2004、the earthquake measuring9on the Richter scale in northeastern Japan in2011and so on. These disasters brought great disaster to people’s life and property. How to strengthen people’s natural disaster consciousness, improving measures, thus the greatest degree of reducing natural disaster is significant test for every countries and regions. Geography education have unique advantages and great potential in this region."International Decade the Natural Disaster in Ten Years" said,"Education is the center of disaster mitigation plan. Knowledge is the key of success or failure of disaster mitigation." So Disaster Education start in school. School is the best place of Disaster Education. However, the geography is the main battlefield of Disaster Education. So, how to conduct Disaster Education in geography education is very important. But compared with the developed countries, China’s Geographical Disaster Education is still relatively backward, also dosenot not play its due role.The author mainly from the research, necessity and feasibility of geographical disaster education, comprehensive analysis the development status of our country Middle School Geographical Disaster Education. On this basis, From the teaching material, teaching mode, class organization, teaching, teacher training and etc, put forward to raise our country middle school geography teaching suggestions and measures of Disaster Education. With a view to the middle school geography disaster education development to provide some useful exploration.
