Due to economic globalization, cross-cultural communication has already become anunavoidable and at the same time a very important method of communication between people.Cross-cultural communication has become an independent field of science abroad. Along witha great trend of globalization, a newly developing concept of a common culture and way ofthinking emerged between many countries and nations, but it is obvious that every countryhas its own ethnic and cultural peculiarities. The foundation of the thesis is the gathered material of a survey, questionnaire andinterview of the foreign students in China. According to the survey of identities from differentcountries, the aim of the thesis is to compare the national language, culture, education andway of thinking of each country and to analyze the influence of cross-cultural communicationupon foreign students. Through the survey of the language barrier, character differences, culture barrier, conditions of the studying abroad, conduct, mentality, plans after graduation offoreign students I came to the conclusion that cross-cultural communication produces aneffect on foreign students in many aspects. In the conclusion of the thesis I suggest some ofmy own views and ideas. The thesis centers on the analysis of the following aspects:The language is the most important communication tool among people, usually peopleuse the language for passing the information, making the act of communication. Thus, beingin the unfamiliar environment and people, first of all everyone has to learn the language thatthose people use. Only due to this there can appear the interaction between people, sharing theideas and better understanding of the local culture.People who step from the familiar culture environment into the unfamiliar one can facethe inadaptable situations. Those situations will always exist. When someone finds himself inunfamiliar situation, he can experience the tense, frustrated and painful period of time. This isthe inevitable result of the cultural and educational differences. When foreign students come to a foreign country with different cultural, first weshould try to understand how people in this country think and then find some appropriateways to socialize with them. The cultural and educational background of their own countrymakes the process of learning and interaction different for foreign students. Although foreign students come from different countries, but all of them have the samelearning approach. On the basis of their future work prospects and life goals, they use theirown ways for learning Chinese and understand its culture. In the last part of the thesis we put forward some views and ideas, during the studyingprocess foreign students do not study only the foreign language, but also socialize a lot withlocal people, thus students have the opportunity to know more about the culture of the countrywhere they study in; during constant process of learning own rich experience, education, wayof thinking about different aspects in different directions made my own views and values oflife gain some other development, became a good spiritual foundation for my future life andwork.
