Narrowing the differences between urban and rural education, to let rural students accept more equitable education, is the important content of realizing the balanced development of compulsory education, and also important embodiment to promote education equity. The differences between urban and rural education, has not only reflected in the schools, teachers, equipment and other aspects, but more importantly in the performance of students’ language learning and language ability. The difference influence on educational equity is more huge, and also make it easier for people to turn a blind eye. To improve and develop the students’language ability, not can make them obtain the outstanding academic record, but better adapt to life in the future. Language, as the most basic tool, plays a vital role in the development of students’language ability. The paper, takes urban and rural two junior high schools in Wuhan city as the object of study, investigates the specific differences in Chinese learning situation between urban and rural middle school students, then reveals the influences factors in these differences, finally puts forward the countermeasures. The paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the research background, research significance, research ideals and methods, and the related domestic and foreign language learning, urban and rural difference of the theory to undertake preliminary analysis.The second part, through observation on the Chinese classroom of the two urban and rural junior high school, the comparison and analysis of students’composition collected in the two schools, present the specific differences between the urban and rural junior high school students in listening ability, oral expression and written.The third part, through providing questionnaire, reveals the cause of the differences between urban and rural junior high school students in Chinese learning. The research shows that the level of teachers, school library resources, family environment, and reading, are the main influence factors.The fourth part, according to the influence factors in the differences between urban and rural middle schools, puts forward the corresponding countermeasures, namely from teachers, parents, school and society these four aspects to discuss.
