Nowadays,the education career continues to face new development and new breakthrough,the quality education and the all-round development of people have raised higher requirements and new challenges to education.Questioning ability is an important component of quality education and the all-round development of people,and it is an organic composition of key competencies,such as rational thinking,critical questioning and problem solving.Even more remarkable,the junior middle school stage is the key period of students' cognitive development,and at this stage,the cognition of students is developed from concrete image thinking to abstract logical thinking.Therefore,to know the current situation of students' questioning ability in junior high school can provide some guidance and help for school teaching practice in order to contribute a little strength to carry out quality education more effectively and promote the overall development of students.The study selected three urban junior high schools and three rural areas junior high schools of T city by a total of 600 junior high school students as the research object.The main research method is the questionnaire survey supplemented by interviews,and the number of interviewers is four,they are urban and rural areas' teachers.The establishment of questionnaire and the selection of questions in the questionnaire of this study are in reference on the basis of predecessors' questionnaire research and combined with the definition of ability quality of a famous American organization behavior researcher David McClelland and the book of Design 5Steps Of Competency Model which was developed on the basis of the concept of "competency" written by the professor,Qin Yangyong.After the test and constant modification,the final questionnaire reliability was 0.846,and the questionnaire validity was 0.818.The researcher mainly discussed the general situation and the differences about the questioning ability of junior high school students between urban and rural areas,and the differences in five dimensions,they were the knowledge,self-concept,the characterization of questioning,the skills of questioning and the traits of questioning between urban and rural areas junior high school students in this paper.What are the commonalities and particularities between junior high school students in urban and rural areas?What are the factors that influenced or restricted the development of the questioning ability of junior high school students in urban and rural areas?Finally,the researcher explored how to promote the development of urban and rural junior high school students' questioning ability.The study found that the overall development level of the questioning ability of junior high school students was not high.Both urban and rural junior high school students were not ideal inthe development of the characterization of questioning and the skills of questioning dimensions.There were some imbalances in some dimensions of questioning ability between urban and rural junior high school students,for example,the self-concept,the skills of questioning and the traits of questioning.The reasons were analyzed mainly from the students themselves in the differences of knowledge,of the particularity of physical and mental development,of the dependence in age,of the differences in role transition.From the intellectual environment differences,such as the classroom environment of learning is not harmonious,the opportunity of questioning is unequal,and other differences from school management,teachers' teaching ideas and teaching methods and so on.From the family environmental differences,such as parents' education,the education concept of a family,the number of children in a family and so on.From the social living environment differences,such as the way of schooling,interpersonal communication and so on.On the basis of the existing problems in the development of questioning ability between urban and rural junior high school students,and combined with the deep reasons,the researcher provided corresponding strategies for improving students' questioning ability from three aspects,for urban and rural middle school students as a total,for urban students and for rural students.For urban and rural middle school students as a total:regarding the appeal of education in era development as the guidance to train students' questioning ability.Improving the overall quality of teachers in urban and rural areas as the protection to raise students' questioning ability.Strengthening students' knowledge base as the source to raise students' questioning ability.Promoting the cooperation of school and families as the supporting to raise students' questioning ability.For urban middle school students:teacher should change the evaluation methods and strengthen the guidance of students' questioning ability.Teacher should help students to understand the importance of questioning correctly and enhance students' questioning initiative and performance.Cultivating students' questioning ideas intentionally on the way of study and life and developing their sensitivity to the problem.For rural middle school students:paying attention to family education and making full use of the influence of multiple children's family companions.Emphasizing on independent and paying attention to the development of students' personality thinking quality.Optimizing the teaching method and creating a good learning atmosphere.
