With the development of technology, the era of lifelong learning is upcoming, building the learning society is becoming the inevitable trend of the development of the times.In this social situation, combined New Curriculum advocates autonomous learning, culturing the self-learning ability of students becomes imperative. Historical discipline is an important humanities, it has important significance to improve cultural enrichment and perfect personality of students. Therefore, improving the self-learning ability of junior middle school students has become an important mission of basic education.Based to autonomous learning theories of Constructivism, Zone of proximal development and so on as basis of this article, combining psychological characteristics and cognitive level of junior middle school students with historical discipline, investigating the opportunities and challenges, motivation and strategy of building history of self-learning ability of junior middle school students. Accordingly, we design the questionnaire to have comparative survey for historical learning of students of three city junior middle school students schools and three rural junior middle school students schools of Jining. According to the survey found, putting forward problem-solving coping strategies.Studies have shown that junior middle school students have the certain autonomous learning awareness, but history of self-learning ability of urban students are obvious higher than rural students. Urban and rural exist some differences. In learning methods, urban students prefer diversification and autonomy; in study motivation, cognitive level of urban students are higher; in learning resources and the environment, the equipments of urban schools are relatively well, professionalism of teachers and cultural level of parents are relatively high. On the one hand, the presence of these differences are decided by the level of macro-economic development; On the other hand, they also combine with learning ability and level of students themselves.In order to narrow the gap between urban and rural economic and improve the teaching facilities of rural schools, the country has made policies and took measures to achieve balanced development of education. To be from micro-level of this article investigates strategies to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas. This article mainly from three aspects:teachers, students and school management. Teaching strategies of teachers, learning strategies of students and school teaching management strategy are all efforts for improving self-learning ability of students. The various subjects are striving to narrow the historical self-learning ability differences between urban and rural areas and make the unique autonomous learning system. Balanced and coordinated development of urban and rural education, we make efforts to achieve educational equity and train students to meet the development requirements of the times.
