The hot spot of the educational reform is guided by "the Summary of Elementary education Curriculum Reforms (Implementation)", which was issued by the Ministry of Education,2001. It is also a breakthrough on the students’ oriented class. Nowadays, many teachers complain that high school students have difficulty in geographic class, and they insisted it is caused by the poor learning in the junior middle school. As a result, how to solve the above question is my aim of research. However, there are limited studies in this subject. On the concept of the new curriculum reform, constructivist theory, Dewey’s theory, the practice of humanistic psychology and Marxism theory, I focus on the study of student’ participation in the geography class status, which is also the aim of this paper. From behavioral, cognitive and emotional perspectives, I gave students questionnaires on students’ oriented teaching. Besides, through analysis of class videos and observations in my class, I’ve made a conclusion on whether students’ are willing to participate in the teaching. Moreover, in order to solve the teacher-oriented class problem, I come up with a series of strategies on how to promote students’ participation in the class. The strategy is divided into several parts, from the perspective of teacher, students and its basic tactics. It aims at optimizing teaching environment, ensuring students having enough time to participate, carefully designed contents and reasonable using multiple ways of participations and evaluations. As a result, it can evoke and promote students’ active participations. At last, I will choose a lesson "globe" from grade seven to prove my theory.
