Geography teaching methods have always been a hot research of middle school geography teaching,To explore the theory of designing geography teaching method and apply it to practice plays certain significance in enhancing the quality of geography teaching in middle school.The new curriculum reform advocates the“student oriented” educational idea and emphasizes on cultivating students’ independent,cooperative as well as inquiry learning abilities.Under the guidance of core ideas and specific objectives of new curriculum reform,teachers shall design geography teaching method based on “student oriented” idea.Since the grade of junior one is the starting phase for students to learn geography knowledge and cultivate geography learning ability,where the rationality of design of geography teaching method will directly influence foundation of students’ geography learning in middle school.For this reason,it is necessary to design the geography teaching method aimed at junior one under “student oriented” idea.In this study,Junior Geography teaching content,to the "basic education curriculum reform outline" in the core idea and the reform and the " full-time compulsory education geography curriculum standard of Junior Geography Teaching"(2011)settings and requirements as the basis for the theory of education,humanism and constructivism learning theory.The design and analysis of domestic and international research status of geography teaching methods and method,put forward the concept of design of geography teaching methods and expounds the related theory connotation and significance,based on the students and teachers by questionnaire and interview,found that the teachers design in geography teaching methods and practical.The problems in the application,and then describes the first geography teaching methods corresponding design strategy and the above theory,and applied to teaching practice,through the experimental method in the practice of teaching practice to test the effect of geography teaching methods design strategies.Class 4 and class 7 students will respectively as the experimental class and the control class class,carries on the comparative analysis in the teaching practice for nearly three months,taken by academic achievement,questionnaires and student interviews for the junior middle school geography teaching design method of the concept into practice of the effect of the detection and for the analysis,to strengthen the scientific nature of the teaching experiment,the experimental data of this study are using the corresponding statistical analysis methods.The practice shows that the design will be based on the students in the Junior Geography Teaching Method in geography teaching practice can improve students’ learning achievement,to arouse students’ interest in learning,cultivate students’ ability in geography learning.The research indicates that the design and practice of Junior Geography Teaching Methods in the exploration under the concept of a role for improving the students geography learning effect and promote all aspects of the development of students.
