| In order to quicken the pace of the popularizing the information technology education in elementary and middle schools, the ministry of education promulgated "the notification on implementation School-To-School Project in elementary and middle schools "and decided to organize and implement this project in2000. It intends to make90%of elementary and middle schools connect to the Internet to promote the balanced development of education within5to10years. The establishment of the School-To-School Project gives a firm protection to promote the balanced development of education caused by the historical, economic and political factors.Based on the fact of the unbalanced development of education, the documentation method was adopted to illustrate the present state of the unbalanced development of education from home and abroad. Then different strategies of promoting the balanced development of education from abroad were summed up. After that, combined the studies in China, the suggestions that we could relive the problems of the balanced development of education were put forward.With the methods of interview, the teachers and students who had been using School-To-School Project were studied. From that, we knew that the School-To-School Project brought high quality educational resources to the teachers and students in rural region, changed the teachers’ teaching methods and students’ learning methods, and then created favorable conditions for teachers. With the methods of experiments and questionnaires, the changes of the students’ interest and the differences in the students’ learning performance were compared between the traditional teaching environment and School-To-School Project environment. The result showed that students’ interest of learning can be inspired in the environment of School-To-School Project.The study showed that the School-To-School Project promote the balanced of education:extending the students’ vision; increasing the students’ learning interests obviously; shortening the educational gap between urban and rural areas and keeping the balance of education development. The problems of the School-To-School Project during the course of education and teaching were posed, and finally, related strategies and suggestions were given tentatively:pouring more efforts to train the teachers and improve the students’ informational attainment. |
