Xinjiang is located in the northwest frontier of China,and its development is relatively backward.It has the characteristics of sparse land,sparse population and scattered distribution of schools.Xinjiang's unique geographical location determines that distance education has important value and significance for the development of Xinjiang.The distance education project in rural primary and secondary schools is conducive to the rapid and balanced development of education in Xinjiang,and has great significance in promoting the economic development of Xinjiang and improving people's cultural quality.Therefore,the implementation of distance education resources project in Xinjiang is an inevitable choice,but also the requirements of the information age.Distance education in rural primary and secondary schools is a huge project.While actively building distance education resources,distance education resources should be effectively applied in basic education teaching in order to better play the value and role of the project.Therefore,the teaching application of distance education resources is the key and core of the project to play an effective role.Therefore,the author consults the domestic and foreign literature related to the application of distance education resources,and combs and analyses the current situation of the application of distance education resources at home and abroad.The purpose of this study is closely around the research.Firstly,through observation method,the construction of distance education resources in some rural primary and secondary schools is observed to understand the construction of information environment in rural primary and secondary schools.Secondly,questionnaire survey method is used to investigate the application of distance education resources of 470 rural primary and secondary teachers in Xinjiang,so as to grasp the application of distance education resources in rural primary and secondary schools.Finally,through interviews with teachers in rural primary and secondary schools,we can find out the problems in the application of distance education resources and analyze the reasons.Based on the investigation and analysis of these three aspects,the conclusion is that at present,the construction of distance education resources in primary and secondary schools in Xinjiang has been basically completed,but it still needs to be continuously improved,and the gap between urban and rural areas in the construction of information environment is becoming smaller and smaller.However,rural primary and secondary school teachers have a series of problems in the application of distance education resources,which lead to the waste of distance education resources and other phenomena.The main problems are as follows:there are a large number of distance education resources,but they can meet the teaching needs of primary and secondary school teachers,so it is difficult for teachers to find distance education teaching resources suitable for local students;the integration of information technology resources and teaching is not deep enough;the development of information technology courses in rural primary and secondary schools is not in place;and the utilization rate of distance education resources is low.Through interviews,the author further analyzed the causes of these problems.The main reasons are as follows:the quality audit of distance education resources is not strict enough,the information technology ability of rural primary and secondary school teachers is weak,and the enthusiasm of teachers to develop resources is not high;the information technology application capability of rural teachers is weak,and the support service system for rural primary and secondary school teachers to apply information technology in teaching is not perfect;the development of information technology curriculum in primary and secondary schools is not valued,and the teachers' strength is short.Lack of teachers,inadequate application and management system of distance education resources,lack of technical support and services,and low level of national common language education for students.Finally,in view of these problems,the following suggestions are put forward:continuously improving the construction of information resources in primary and secondary schools,encouraging rural teachers to develop resources;strengthening skills training for rural primary and secondary school teachers,speeding up the in-depth integration of information technology and curriculum;further strengthening the implementation of information technology courses in primary and secondary schools;improving the application and management system of distance education resources,improving the utilization rate of resources,etc.
