With the development of industrialization and urbanization, the number of migrant workers is growing constantly, the floating population’s growth not only reflects the change of the scale, but also reflects the big change of the floating population’s structure: from working out alone primitively, gradually became working out in couples, even working and living in the city with their children. This "family migration" type of floating population make more and more young children appeared in the floating population. The floating children has become a special group, according to the statistics, there are about20million migrant children in today’s China, and in Wuhan, there are about160,000school-age floating children, their healthy growth have great influence on the development of the society and the future of our motherland. As the hope of the motherland’s future, these millions of floating flowers go to the dream city followed their parents to pursue the dream and life of fairy tales which belonged to their own heart. However, the ideal civilized city in their hearts do not bring them the expected life, but make them suffered from the unprecedented crisis no matter from individual to the development of family or from the mental body to their healthy growth. Along with their parents’low income in economic, low influence in political and busy working in life, these floating flowers can not be looked after at home, they have difficulties in joining the partners in school, they are solitary in life, and they also feel lonely and helpless in psychological. This paper focuses on the problems of the floating children, with the guidance of professional social work theory, to analysis the floating children’s needs. The activity objects of this planning book are Chun Miao elementary school and their students in Jiang Han District in Wuhan, we developed five activities based on their problems and needs:Inspiring potentials, Parent-Child activities, Social Butterflies, Adapting to the new environment and Confidence growth, moreover, we made detailed and complete assessment of the activity in order to solve the floating children’s problems and make contribution to the further development of children’s social work practice.
