| The history textbook for the high school has undergone a tremendous change from "One Guide-One Textbook" to "One guide-Multiple Textbooks" since the new curriculum reform went into effect in2004. The newly compiled four editions of history textbooks, which on the basis of the high school history curriculum standards, has suffered from a wide questioning and considering. The new edition of high school history textbook, published by the People’s Education Publishing House (PEP), has been introduced in Hubei province after Hubei’s carrying out the new curriculum reform in2009. Provided that, whether there are compiled deficiencies in the PEP edition history textbook after three revisions, what opinion the majority of teachers and students hold in response to the new history textbooks and how to reform existent textbook will be discussed and elaborated in this paper. Furthermore, the PEP edition lesson <Evolution of Political System from Han Dynasty to Yuan dynasty> will be taken as an specific example to analyze.This paper is divided into three parts:Part Ⅰ. Analysis on texts compiled of the lesson <Evolution of Political System from Han Dynasty to Yuan dynasty>:Analysis on the compilation of this specific lesson is carried out basing on the aspects of curriculum standard requirements, text system and text auxiliary system.Part Ⅱ. Analysis on current application of the lesson <Evolution of Political System from Han Dynasty to Yuan dynasty>:The problem arise in teaching along with the reactions and anticipations proposed by students on the lesson content are dissected in terms of analysis on teachers’and students’textbook using status basing on questionnaire.Part Ⅲ. Compiled problems and suggestions on the lesson <Evolution of Political System from Han Dynasty to Yuan dynasty>:The compiled problems lie in the lesson <Evolution of Political System from Han Dynasty to Yuan dynasty> are indicated found on analysis above and some further suggestions are put forward. |
