As the employment situation for youth becomes more and more severe around the globe, entrepreneurship education is given the name as "the third passport" by the UNESCO, of equal importance with academic education and vocational education. To strengthen entrepreneurship education has become a new trend for the development and reform of modern world’s higher education.Not only has more attention been paid to the role that entrepreneurship education plays to train high-quality students, but also the development of social economy has a wider need for training creative talents.In this paper, undergraduates of Southwest Jiaotong University have been chosen as the object of study with use of several research approaches like literature, questionnaire, case studies and other research methods. Meanwhile, a questionnaire typically for college students on their need for entrepreneurship has been drawn based on existing theories. Here, SPSS software is used for sorting out statistical data. In addition, this paper mainly proposes three factors that influence students’demand for starting their business. Namely, the first factor is about entrepreneurial environment which deals with some questions:How much has been put into entrepreneurship training and entrepreneurship education for university students? How to obtain pioneering technologies, new scientific information and other knowledge? And how to raise funds? Moreover, culture atmosphere is the second influencing factor which involves certain doubts:Are the public attitudes towards entrepreneurship education of college students active or not? Have institutions of higher leaning done enough business services for their students? Is the number of students who commence to try business small or large? Lastly, entrepreneurship capability comes as the third factor to affect students’choice. It is also linked with several uncertainties such as whether students’innovation are enough or not; whether they have appropriate management capacity or not; and whether they have develop a sound understanding of the market.Finally, on the basis of analyzing the factors influencing students’demand for entrepreneurship, this thesis argues that improvements and integration of entrepreneurship education can be accomplished by bettering the circumanstance, elevating college students’ entrepreneurial capability and fostering a strong entrepreneurial culture to build a sound system of entrepreneurship education system.This statement points out the following new ideas: To begin with, with Southwest Jiaotong University set as an example, a further research is carried out into several problems exsisting in current entrepreneurship education for college students. And the root causes are carefully analyzedIn addition, a theory concerning the needs of entrepreneurship is applied to study vital factors influencing college students’entrepreneurial demands, which expands the ever scattered theory to some extent.Thirdly, analysis of the interactions of several factors combined with entrepreneurial demands forms the basis to build a fully integrated system of entrepreneurship education for college students.
