Common individual freedoms are the human right that full security, the teacher is no exception. The teacher’s liberty is in premise of not harm to others interests, teacher have the freedom of not mandatory and according to his own will to make independent choice. There is a basic hypothesis that teachers are under control of society from sociology study. This paper is on the basis of theoretical analysis to teacher freedom, in order to clarify the social unreasonable restriction factors to teachers and to put forward a constructive suggestion for teachers freedom from to be to should to be.This paper is divided into four parts, the first part of paper is a brief introduction mainly including reasons for selecting such a topic, the value and significance of making research on it, the current situation and research approaches adopted in this paper.The second part of paper is the summary of teachers’ freedom. This section contains four parts which are the definition of freedom, the definition of the teachers’ freedom,, the purpose and meaning of the teachers’ freedom,the limitation of teachers’ freedom.This part is the theoretical foundation of the paper.The third part mainly expounds the relationship between teachers and society, and how does the society control the teachers. There is an unjust dependent relationship between teacher and society; the latter often take various kinds of institutional forms to limit teachers unreasoningly. This paper will analyze the social factors that influence on the teachers’ freedom from the following four aspects: education system, education management, social culture and psychological. the last put forward the reasonable social control which based on free spirit.The fourth part firstly analyze the possibility of teachers freedom from the three aspects, as following: the harmonious unity between teacher development and social development, obedience and harmony of teachers’ freedom, the possibility of teacher independent. There will be take some security measures to make teachers’ freedom come true from education system, teachers’ professional organizations and teachers’ ability.
