Private kindergartens have become the main force of early childhood education in the society, the level of teachers’ professional development is not only an important reference standard of the quality of kindergartens, but also restricts the quality promotion in the field of early childhood education. The education development in Minority regions is an important support of promoting local economic development and minorities advancement, realizing education fairness, It’s quite valuable to concentrate on teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions both in theory and practice。Teachers’ professional development is a process, in which teachers learn and explore constantly to promote professional quality, also a dynamic development process of interaction between teachers’ and organizational environment in the daily education and instruction. Teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions should be discussed in the minority regions background and distinguished from different development foundation and resources of public kindergartens, then the reality and characteristics of this paper is dug out。This paper makes great efforts to solve two major problems:what is the status of teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions? What are main external factors affecting teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions? According to the research needs, such ways as checking literature, questionnaires, interviews and case studies are mainly used in the paper, and "the questionnaire of the status of teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions "and "the interview questionnaire of the status of teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions (teachers’part/managers’ part)" are composed. This paper selects a certain quantity of samples makes an investigation of teachers of private kindergartens in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture from point parts to the entire, getting information from five following aspects (professional spirits, professional idea, professional knowledge, professional competence and self-awareness of professional development), and analyzing the status and problems of teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions. Such main conclusions have been drawn through analysis of investigation data:1. Professional teachers structure is younger, professional level should be improved; 2.The idea and practice do not coincide with each other, less depth in idea, not solid in practice; 3.Low starting point in professional field, the system of development plan is in a mess; 4.Low level of professional development, the national and cultural characteristics of education is deficient. On the basis, observations and interviews has been done in the two selected private kindergartens in-depth, and analyzes from following two aspects, the environment of society legal management and the organizational culture environment of kindergartens to investigate further the external supporting factors affecting teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions, and then it’s found that the teachers’ professional development environment is limited, lacking adequate support. On the basis of the above research, pointing to the status of development of private kindergartens in minority regions and influencing factors, this paper explores strategies and constructive suggestions which are suitable to teachers’ professional development of private kindergartens in minority regions respectively from the environment of society legal management and the kindergarten organizational culture, and finally encourages various social forces to cooperate closely to promote teachers’ professional development.
