| The principal plays a key role in the development of kindergartens,especially for private kindergartens,the principal’s professional knowledge,professional ability and professional spirit determine the overall level and development prospects of kindergartens.Even so private kindergartens are developing rapidly in China,the quality of development is still varied.Therefore,as a leader of the kindergarten,the role of the principal is beyond doubt.This study adopts the method of case study,focusing on exploring the whole professional growth process of W principal from front-line teacher to principal.Through in-depth interviews and later collation,the author divides the professional growth process of W principal into preparation stage,exploration stage,development stage and maturity stage.In each stage,W principal is divided into educators,managers and leaders for elaboration and analysis according to the role theory.At the same time,the role preference of each stage is summarized according to the professional ability of each role,and then the longitudinal changes of the three roles in different stages can be judged respectively.Based on the above perspective,the whole course of W principal’s garden operation is condensed.In addition to focusing on the professional growth process of W principal,the influential factors of personal professional growth were further explored,which led to W principal’s own reflection and brought enlightenment for other Y citizens to run gardens.I will start from five parts.The first section is one introduction.It introduces the research of backdrop,the research of problems,the research significance,the summarize of literature,the target of research and the approaches of research.Part two is the definition of notion and rationale.It defines three terms,namely,principal,private kindergarten and professional development course,as well as the content and application of role theory.The third part is the analysis of W principal’s professional growth stage.The main content is divided into four stages: preparation stage,exploration stage,development stage and maturity stage.At the same time,each stage analyzes the professional growth process of W principal in turn according to educators,managers and leaders.The third part is the analysis of the professional growth stage of W director.The fourth part is the analysis of the factors affecting the professional growth of W principal.In the light of individual factors,family environment factors,operating ambient factors to probe into the affecting the specialized growth of W director.The fifth part is the inspiration for W principal’s professional development.Discusses the strategies to promote the professional development of principals,and puts forward the strategies according to the qualities that principals of private kindergartens should have,the establishment of the kindergarten organization and the implementation of the guarantee policies of the local education administrative department. |
