In 2009, after being the president of the U.S.A., Barack Obama put forward a series of education reform proposal, with focus on early childhood education. The Obama Administration passed some policies of early childhood education. With the funds in and the program implementing, American came to the age of early childhood education. Taking a study on the early childhood education of the Obama Administration, this paper expects to give reference and useful experience to China.The paper consists of six sections:Section One is introduction. This section is to introduce the reason and the purpose of the study, define the core concept, review the previous studies on the American federal early education, detail the ideas and methods using in this study, explain the basic theories and key point of this study.Section Two is the background. This section introduces the developing background of the Obama Administration’s early education policy, including the background of economic, politic, educational and personal experience.Section Three analyzes the main content of the Obama Administration’s early education policy, which involves the basic philosophies and main consist of the early education policy.Section Four reveals the characteristics of the Obama Administration’s early education policy, including the aspects of law making, federal management, investment, pre-school teacher and poor children.Section Five describles the evaluation of the Obama Administration’s early education policy, Including conform the positive contribution in arousing the initiative of each state and promoting the American pre-school education, as well as the challenges they are confronted with.Section Six concludes the inspirations from the Obama Administration’s early education policy, including completing the pre-school law, increasing the investment, training the teacher, ensuring education fair, taking pre-school program as the strategy.
