Traditional ethnic culture is the essence of a nation, which is concern on subsist and development, and is even a significant manifestation and major pillar. For that reason, transmitting ethnic culture has already become inevitable choice of social and economic development in ethnic regions. Education relate closely with culture. The school education has undertaken the important responsibility which transmits ethnic culture. Gui Zhou province is one of the most national nationality provinces. Gui Zhou province has a long history and colorful ethnic culture, and"Ethnic Culture Entering Campus" has been implemented for 10 years. Based on the background of this activity, the harmonious and progressive relationship is deliberated between the school education and traditional ethnic culture. How school inherit ethnic traditional cultural more effectively has become an urgent problem.This thesis takes Che Min primary School and primary school 11 for example, which are the model schools of "Ethnic Culture Entering Campus" in Gui Zhou province. Supported by the abundant documents, the writer carried out the research about extracurricular activities,which is the way transmitting ethnic culture in school yard. The writer got first-hand stories by questionnaire investigation and depth interview. The research has analyzed the current situation and found the shortage about extracurricular activities. The problems are mainly expressing on the opinions about extracurricular activities, the relationship to classroom teaching and the relationship to community education. At the same time, there are a lot of difficulties about the method of extracurricular activities inheriting the national culture. Such as:lack of theoretical guidance, Shortage of qualified teachers, shortage of funds and the distemperedness of the regulations and the evaluation system.On the basis of field work and theoretical reflection, three viewpoints are put forward in this thesis.First, schools should play an important role and extracurricular activities should be an important way to transmitting ethnic culture. Only in this way can extracurricular activities promote ethnic culture to be inherited effectively.Second, the people have to satisfy the needs of extracurricular activities; point out the benignant and developmental direction to extracurricular activities; establish appropriate regulations and evaluation system of extracurricular activities. Only in this way, it can be achieved to transmitting ethnic culture through extracurricular activities.Last, extracurricular activities should be related closely with classroom teaching and community education. Consequently, ethnic culture can be inherited by school education.
