In the process of modernization and globalization, the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture faces many difficulties.Facing the current difficulties faced by the inheritance of traditional ethnic cultures, many scholars have emphasized the role of school education in inheriting traditional ethnic cultures and have called for the introduction of traditional ethnic cultures into campuses. However, after years of practice,it is found that the school not only failed to inherit the traditional culture of the nation, but also affected its normal education and teaching work. The fundamental reason lies in exaggerating the cultural function of school education and failing to realize that the traditional culture of a nation is a way of life of a particular nation.School education that is relatively separated from the life world cannot completely inherit the culture as a way of life. From this perspective, school education has its limitations in inheriting traditional ethnic culture. It is worth noting that acknowledging the limitations of school education in inheriting traditional ethnic culture does not mean denying the role of school education in inheriting traditional ethnic culture.A correct understanding of the role of traditional ethnic culture and school education in the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture is conducive to breaking through the predicament of the school education and transmission of traditional ethnic culture.Culture is not something abstract from people's lives, and it is a stable and value-oriented way of life of human group. The way of production determines the way of life, and the unique system of heaven and earth restricts the way of production and thus restricts the way of life.It is important to note that this is not the same as geocentric determinism, because the modes of production in different regions will also spread and communicate with each other.National culture includes historical culture, traditionalculture and modern culture.Historical culture is a way of life in the past, which has been separated from people's life.Traditional culture was a way of life in the past, but it still has its roots.Modern culture is a way of life based on the modern mode of production. Therefore,it can be said that ethnic traditional culture is a way of life of a particular nation. In addition, the traditional culture handed down is not immutable,it will change with the development of society. In the era of globalization, ethnic traditional culture still has the value of inheritance, which is mainly reflected in three aspects:Modern mode of production is not a one-size-fits-all mode of production, still regional and personalized; The rational core of ethnic traditional culture can promote the process of modernization;National traditional culture can promote the improvement of life quality.Based on the above understanding of traditional culture as a way of life,We went to nayong county, sandu aquatic autonomous county, liping county and leishan county in guizhou to make a field study on the inheritance of traditional ethnic culture, and found that under the current background of the times, school education should shoulder the responsibility of inheriting the traditional culture of the nation. The necessity of inheriting ethnic traditional culture in school education is mainly reflected in three aspects:First, school education can effectively impart knowledge and skills in traditional culture;Second, the process of "cultivating people with culture" in the school is the process of cultural inheritance;Third, the development of students puts forward a demand for the study of traditional ethnic culture.Although school education is necessary to inherit traditional ethnic culture,it also has its limitations. In the investigation,it is found that school education has some limitations in the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture, such as the inability to guarantee the integrity of the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture, the non-life tendency of the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture, and the limitation of social factors in the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture. In order to break through the limitation of school education in inheriting traditional ethnic culture,it is necessary to integrate various inheritance channels of traditional ethnic culture.First of all,we should re-examine the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture and the role of school education in its inheritance.Inheriting ethnic traditional culture is not the same as being conservative, the key is to promote its modernization transformation. The inheritance of ethnic traditional culture cannot be separated from the soil of life.As a way of life, the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture in life is the most direct, systematic and complete;Although school education can't completely inherit the ethnic traditional culture as a way of life,it plays a leading role in the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture, which is mainly reflected in the cultivation of people with cultural consciousness.People who have received school education will be more rational in their treatment of ethnic traditional culture, and more conscious in their life to inherit ethnic traditional culture, which will help to promote the modernization of traditional culture.Secondly, give full play to the leading role of school education in the inheritance of ethnic traditional culture.Specifically,it includes paying attention to the cultivation of the main body of traditional culture inheritance, strengthening the educational position of school education to inherit ethnic traditional culture, building the platform of ethnic traditional culture inheritance with school as the center, establishing and improving the guarantee mechanism of school education to inherit ethnic traditional culture. Finally,we need to pay attention to the non-educational ways of inheriting ethnic traditional culture, such as national festivals and customs.
