Based On High School Chemistry Study Case Of The "three Big Theme" Research

In the basic education curriculum reform, new concepts have been applied in teaching widely. The concept of "student-centered development" is one of those concepts and has been accepted by most educators. Based on the present situation, students have become the leading star in class while the teachers are the directors and supporting ones. This kind of teaching mode is not only efficient in the training of intellectual and problem-solving abilities of students but also in the refreshment of teachers’educational concepts and conversion of their roles.In this thesis, researches of "case study" were studied. It is found out that most studies in this area are concentrated on construction and principle of "case study", and ignore the summarization of characteristics of this teaching mode and rules of compiling and evaluating such cases. Moreover, most school and teachers still recognize this teaching mode as a kind of summarization of teaching experience, and treat the learning case as lesson plans and organize classes mechanically. After reviewing many literatures about" case study", it is found that the current teachers are faced with various puzzles. Most teachers are not good at preparing or applying this mode in class.This thesis is a research of principles and detail patterns of compiling study cases in high school chemistry class and three major themes (Elements&Compound, Basic Chemical Principles, Organic Compound) are choses as samples. Main results are as follows:(1) Summarization of current problems in "case study" teaching mode from literatures and teaching experience.(2) Systematic analysis of major function, curriculum requirements, content characteristics, situation of students of three major themes in high school chemistry.(3) Based on the analysis in (2), and in the construction of educational principles of learning, zone of proximal development, cooperative learning theory, preparation principle and columns of compiling study cases are put forward, as well as the guidance, specific study cases and evalution of them. Corresponding advantages and deficiency are also mentioned.Because of limited time, study ability, further inspection, deepening and improvement are still needed in this study. For example, empirical study of this teaching mode can be further studied.
