This study was under the directions of the Cognitive Learning Theory and Modern Theory of Cognitive Psychology,using verbal reports and observation method to analyze cases,we explored the thinking process used by junior high school students during drawing biological knowledge flow chart. The researchers used biological knowledge test material,which was designed by their own,to check different students’learning. Let students read the materials,then students were asked on the basis of the materials’learning to draw a flow chart.Through observation, analysis of this process, summed up the general thinking process of the students to draw the flow chart, thought disorder encountered and the main factors to affect the thought disorder.This study is divided into two parts:(1)thought process of the flow chart of junior high school students to draw biological knowledge, background, research significance, the study of theoretical basis, research purposes and related concepts definition is described.(2) case studies on thinking process of junior high school students drawing biological knowledge flow chart, and construction the theoretical model,which is assumed to be the thinking process of the junior high school students drawing biological knowledge flow chart. Using the analysis results of verbal reports and observation method to verify the theoretical model,at the same time analysis of students’general thinking process, thought disorder and the main factors to affect the thought disorder.The conclusions of this study are mainly the following aspects:(l)through this research, verification and correction the theoretical model of thinking process during building a flow chart.(2) Combination of verbal reports and observation records analysis to get the general thinking process of the junior high school students drawing a flow chart was "Attention to the feeling of stimulation to register, Note that stimulate and identificate the effective information, Maintenance of the repeat to stimulate the coding, Delicacy of repeat to stimulate the coding. Information storage and retrieval, Evaluation and based on knowledge networks drawing flow charts", and all aspects affect each other. Different students’thinking process of building flow chart is basically the same. Thought disorder in the drawing process is mainly rclated to junior high school characteristics, cognitive level and metacognitive strategies.
