The21st century is a thematic century that truly focuses on people, promotepeople and respect people. China’s economic and political reforms have entered acrucial stage; realizing people oriented and promoting the all-round development ofman has become the theme and target of Chinese social development. In thisbackground, education is also introducing new educational ideas and thoughtsconstantly. Applying the concept of respected education to the ideological and politicaleducation in colleges and universities is a reflection on current ideological and politicaleducation and a grasp of the spirit of the time.The core of the respected education is "people-oriented" education, which givesprominence to people’s development and embodies the basic values of ideological andpolitical education. The author adapts to the developmental demand of the time andintroduces the respect-education concepts into the basic practice of universities’ideological and political education, which is to conduct ideological and politicaleducation towards students with advanced education ideas, the demand of the epochaleducation, the reasonable structure of education and scientific education mode. Theauthor will examine and construct the ideological and political education mode whichmeets the respect-education law from the target, process, content and form ofideological and political education.In the article of The Application of Respected Education to Ideological andPolitical Education in Colleges and Universities, the author writes the paper around the“respect the main character of people and promote the all-round development of man”ideas of respected education. The overall article is divided into four parts: the first partis introduction. Firstly, it introduces the background of the subject. Secondly, it seeksout the research purpose and meaning from the two aspects of adapting to the demandof the times and enhancing the effectiveness of the ideological and political education.Finally, the author interprets the research methods of this paper, namely, the documentation and logical analysis. The novelty has two points, that is, the theoreticalinnovation from new perspective and thorough application of logic analysis. Thesecond part is the basic theoretical meaning of educated education. Through the searchfor respect, the meaning of respect-education, we get the characteristics and meaningof respect-education as a kind of education concept, and the value and meaning of itsapplication in the ideological and political education. Then through the full analysisand reference for the thought of respected education in ancient China, westernrespect-education ideas and the outstanding achievements of domestic and overseasscholars in the research of respect-education ideas in the21st century, the paper leadsto "respect the person’s subjectivity, promoting the comprehensive development ofpeople" as the starting point and base of respected education in the application toideological and political education. The third part is the analysis of application ofrespected education in ideological and political education. In this part, the authordiscusses the correctness and feasibility of "respect the person’s subjectivity andpromote the comprehensive development of people” from two angles of theoryexploration and actual use. In theory, based on the Marxist humanistic thought andMaslow’s hierarchy theory of needs, the author takes a research on the practicalapplication of the concept of respected education to the ideological and politicaleducation in colleges and universities, namely, respect towards education law, respectfor educators and respect for students, which are analyzed and studied respectively.Part four is the existing problems and solutions of the application of respectededucation in ideological and political education. The author believes that in theideological and political education, there are a series of problems, such as theawareness deviation towards respected education, a lack of the atmosphere ofrespected education and the existence of the concept using respect education conceptand, and the lack of applied system in respected education. According to the aboveproblems, the author puts forward reasonable suggestion and solutions. From theconception to setting of contents, the whole article closely combines with thedevelopment of contemporary characteristics; it closely gathers the existence anddevelopment of modern college students’ thoughts; it gives high respect and attentionto the subjectivity of people; it realizes people’s development in an all-round way.The article conducts a tentative study and research on the application of respectededucation in ideological and political education, hoping to enrich the application of the meaning of respected education idea in ideological and political education, promotingthe respected education to fulfill its function of enlightenment and activation inideological and political education in colleges and universities, promoting people todevelop potential creation in practical activities. The respected education infusesexuberant vitality into ideological and political education in colleges and universities,and makes it present a new, more energetic appearance.
