In the curriculum, the seeing of passing-taking teaching is not very good and I foundthe majority teaching method of the classroom in teaching practice is passing-takingmethod. Take into account building an innovative country and the need to cultivateinnovative talents, as well as the times call for inquiry teaching, reasonable understandingof the passing-taking teaching and inquiry teaching has become one of our tasks, In viewof this, I make a comparative study on inquiry teaching and passing-taking teachingmethod. This study used a literature analysis, comparative method, as well as classroomobservation, launched a comparison of two teaching methods from the following threeaspects. First of all, described the theoretical basis of the two teaching methods.Passing-taking teaching is a teaching method, which a teacher taught and studentsaccept learning, its theoretical foundation are meaningful verbal learning theory andlinguistic basis, and inquiry teaching contains two essential: first, let the children handspersonally confirmed that the scientific concepts to create a first-hand empirical scientificconcepts; secondly, compare mainly from three aspects of classroom structure of the twoteaching methods, respectively, classroom time and space structure, the attitude ofteachers and students’classroom behavior and teacher-student contact interaction. Inaddition, the advantages and limitations of the two teaching methods dialectical, thepassing-taking teaching of the advantages are the large amounts of information, teachingefficiency, help students form a hard quality, and its limitations are not conducive to thestudents’practical ability, personality and creativity training, teaching humanistic care islacking. The advantage of inquiry teaching can enrich students’experience, practice andinnovative talents, the limitation is easily lead to classroom fragmented structure, lowefficiency and the smooth development of the need to provide a rich curriculum resources. The conclusions of the study is that we should be to strengthen the use of inquiryteaching in the classroom, but the most critical is to gradually improve the passing-takingteaching methods to use. The complementary use of two teaching methods must dealwith and flexible use of individual learning, group cooperative learning, collective learningand the other forms of organization is the best and the most preferred option.
