From the 1990s, with the expansion of contemporary IT to the secondary education andthe increasing application of computers in the teaching and learning process, the construction ofthe campus network has been put on the agenda. From the experience of the development ofeducational information in developed countries, it is the inevitable trend that the development ofprimary and secondary education informational development is from stand-alone mainstream tonetwork. In the area of basic education, the Ministry of Education launched a national primaryand secondary IT education and the "School to School Communication" project, rural secondaryschool distance education project. These construction and implementation of informationalprojects have greatly promoted the development of IT in foundamental, have made remarkableachievements. After years of efforts, information technology courses in primary and secondaryschools are set up, the goal of "Campus Access to ICTs" project has generally achieved, somerural middle school teachers and students have been able to share online educational resources, which has greatly improved the quality of primary and secondary education. In recent years, theInternet and the rapid development of the developed areas of education information is also madeconsiderable development, and basically realized modern distance education project in ruralprimary and secondary schools. In 2009, the Ministry of Education proposed the idea of"expanding the network coverage in rural areas of modern distance education network, to furtherimprove the application level, and strive to achieve ’Class Access to ICTs, Lesson Application ofICTs’, promote the excellent resource sharing. Construction and development of rural primaryand secondary campus network can not only greatly narrow the gap between urban and ruralareas, promoting the communication and exchanges between urban and rural areas, but alsoprovide the teachers and students with a convenient interection platform for working, learningand living. This dissertation focus on the modeling of rural primary and secondary network design, takethe network construction schemes of four rural middle and primary schools as examples, the research methods include literature study, comparative study, investigations, experiments andcase studies in five parts seperately. Chapter I introduces the research background, researchstatus, main content, significance and research methods of the study. Chapter II found in thenetwork construction of rural primary and secondary schools in the necessity and purpose andthe construction of policy problems and developing countermeasures. Chapters III and IV are themain part of the paper. Chapter III proposed four patterns depending on networking constructionpurpose, functional requirements, the number of hosts and the capital investment to severalconditions, from simple to complex, the network design solutions are elaborated; Chapter IVillustrated each mode by example analysis, suggesting the reader an intuitive understanding ofthe network can accurately locate and develop a suitable design. The last chapter is a conclusionfor the preceding chapters, as well the prospect of rural primary and secondary networkconstruction is given.
