The social role is a set of behavior patterns that consistent with the person’s social status. For minority women, achieving the change of social role is not only beneficial to their personal growth and development, but also has a significance impact on the social coordinated development.This paper is based on the Social role theory, Modernization theory and the theory about Culture lag, taking the development of the Tuzu national tourism as an entry point, and taking one of the Tu villages of Huzhu county in QingHai province as a case, amounting to a comprehensive description and in-depth analysis on Qinghai Tu women’s social role change and adaptation.The study found that, the development of social modernization could promote the change of Tu women’s social roles, and this change showing the features that it was not only the breakthrough of the women’s traditional role, but also considered to be a continuation and heritage.In addition, because the material culture and the adapted culture change is always inconsistent, so the factors are just as the traditional culture, ethnic custom, religious beliefs which were restricted the change of women’s social roles to a certain extent. And the role conflict had been done in the process of roles changing, and therefore the Tu women’s role change could not be completed.
