Local universities are the main strength in the popularization of higher education and are the power ofmiddle of training talents. Problems for the large class size has become the obstacles of talent training ofChina’s higher education.The problems of class size of the strengthening research is significant to improveour overall quality of talent training. this thesis, taking a local university, Henan University as the object ofthe research, basing on the theory of education scale economy, the theory of education resources disposition,the theory of education ecology as the theoretical bases, employing literature resources and empiricalsurvey as research methods, In-depth researching for the status of the class size, And also, According toanalyzing and concluding how the problem s’ the class size of local universities happened and the factorswhich influenced on it, the paper gives several advices to optimize the problem s’ the class size of localuniversities. It is supposed to solve the actual urgent problems for the larger class size in the popularizationof the higher education.This thesis consists of five parts:The first part is an introduction, mainly introduces the background of topic selection, the significanceof the research, core concepts, theory basis, research status, the methods of the research and research ideas.The second part, discussing the theoretical basis of the class size research and it ‘significance to theclass size research..The third part, making the conclusion about actuality of class size of different classes and differentsubjects from the statistics of elective system in Henan University. Getting the faculties and students’opinion about the suitability of class size by questionnaire and interview, the deeply comparativeanalysis about the suitability of class size can be made on the basis of these results of opinions.The fourth part, contraposing the comparative analysis and summarizing the prominent problems existin local universities and discuss the causes and the negative effects of these problems.The last part, gives the advises to optimize the problems of the class size of local universities, bysetting up the right concept of the University-Running, strengthening the class size research and makinggreat effort to improve the conditions of University-Running and so on.
