Innovation is an inexhaustible motive force for the nation’s progress. Education is an important means of cultivating talent. Innovative education is to cultivate the fertile ground of innovation capability and innovative. To survive in the pinnacle of the world, it is necessary for a nation to improve their core competitiveness. Cultivation of talents is the best way to surpport its rapid development. Internet of Things, the most revolutionary technology following the computer and the Internet, has taken the world information industry into antoher tide of reform. Internet of Things has caused a significant turmoil of enterprises and industrie in a short period of time. All of countries are applying it into economic crisis suviving. In order to building an innovative country, China has put innovation and technological progress as the motive force of the social development. Deep technology revolution and education system reform, has greatly promoted the innovation education undertakings. Exploring the Internet of Things in innovative education has a significant and profound practical and theoretical significance.This thesis focuses on how to apply the Internet of things technologies into course teaching content, so as to improve the students’innovation ability and improve the teaching effect. Main results of this research are based on practices of Bit Innovation Laboratory (BIL) in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, which is the Internet of Things Education Base (ITEB) of teachers and students from primary and secondary schools in Jiangsu Province. This thesis make a comprehensive and detailed empirical analysis on the application of Internet of Things in innovative education by using the literature investigation, expert interview, questionnaire, case study, etc.The first two chapters of this thesis discuss the ideas, stratagies and methods of innovative education, and describes current status, background, the research history of this topic. The third chapter studies the innovative education re-cognition in the era of Internet of things.130students in Grade One from Shanghai Qibao High School and Experimental Secondry School Attached to Jiangnan University respectively are taken as question objects, answering a questionnaire of learning effects is in the fourth chapter.130teachers from Jiangsu Province are selected to do a questionnaire about Internet of Things Innovation Conference on Education. Results of the above two questionnaires has proved that the Internet of Things technology can applied cutely into the pedagogical activities and achieve perfect teaching effect. Chapter5gives three case studies of the application of Internet of things in education innovation. The following cases are designed, Talking Thermometers, Ultrasonic Rangefinders and perception education composition. By reforming current teaching model, enriching teaching method and optimizing the teaching effect, students’innovation ability can be gradually enhancedThis thesis mainly studies the application of the Internet of things technologies into course teaching content. Sevaral teaching model according to innovative education aree designed. Also some case studies of the applying Internet of things technologies into course teaching are proposed. Teaching characteristics and development trends in the era of Internet of Things are illustrated. But studies of the application of Internet of things in education has just begun. Therefore, with the progress of this application, the study of Internet of Things in education will go further and deeper.
